Frequently asked questions
How do I convert A1c percent to mmol/mol?
Subtract 2.152 from the percentage, then divide by 0.09148. For example, 7.0% gives (7.0 minus 2.152) divided by 0.09148, which is about 53 mmol/mol.
What is estimated average glucose (eAG)?
eAG is the average blood glucose that corresponds to an A1c value in a large study of adults. In mg/dL it is 28.7 times the A1c minus 46.7.
Is eAG the same as my own average of daily readings?
Not necessarily. eAG is a statistical estimate from a study. Your own readings, your meter and certain health conditions can make your numbers differ.
Does this tell me whether I have diabetes?
No. Only a clinician can diagnose diabetes. This page converts units and does not interpret results.
